Amorphous
Cores
Fe-based amorphous core loops for 1-phase and 3-phase distribution transformers — 65–80% lower no-load losses than CRGO.
// ABOUT PRODUCT
The Efficiency Frontier.
KRYFS manufactures low-loss amorphous core loops for single and three-phase distribution transformers, from Fe-based amorphous ribbon (Fe78-B13-Si9) quenched at a million degrees per second into 25-micron, non-crystalline ribbon — ten times thinner than conventional laminations.
The random molecular structure slashes hysteresis losses; the ultra-thin ribbon cuts eddy currents. Result: 65–80% lower no-load losses versus CRGO-based transformers, lower CO₂/SO₂ emissions, and lower total owning cost for utilities.

// CHARACTERISTICS & ADVANTAGES
Why Amorphous Wins.
Material physics doing the cost saving.
Ultra-Low Losses
70% lower losses than conventional grade — hysteresis and eddy current both.
Standard Widths
Ribbon in 142, 170 and 213 mm widths; lamination factor 86%; density 7.18 g/cc.
Cool Running
Better overload capacity — less heat generated from lower core loss.
Short-Circuit Strength
Wound construction increases short-circuit withstand.
Easy Assembly
Core-coil assembly is simple to assemble and repair.
Green Grid
Lower generation demand — reduced CO₂ and SO₂ emissions.

// THE BUSINESS CASE
Losses Run 24×7. Savings Too.
Distribution transformers stay energised round the clock — core choice is a financial decision.
5 kVA
8 W vs 22 W
A 64% NLL cut at the smallest rating — compounding every hour for 30 years.
63 kVA
58 W vs 170 W
Three-phase comparison: amorphous cuts no-load losses by two-thirds.
100 kVA
78 W vs 214 W
At the top of the range, savings scale with the fleet.
